Transition from Sharepoint to WordPress
The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, home of UT Extension, transitioned from Sharepoint to WordPress. My role as the Creative Content lead for the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences was to reinvent their public-facing website by sifting through decades of research-based information buried deep in pages and difficult to find. The focus was on maintaining the quality of researched information while making the content easy to understand and locate.
I worked closely with the Institute of Agriculture's ITS and Marketing departments to keep in step with new branding, copy, and design standards while serving as creative lead for the Family and Consumer Sciences Creative Team. In my creative lead role, I worked closely with subject matter experts to maintain the integrity of the information provided to the public while simplifying the content and content structure.
